- Why is there a need for a company to do this?
Simply stated, no one has moved forward to get it done and by creating a company we can focus our energy to make it happen.
- Why is there a need to trademark?
To focus on the message and to control the message
- How does S.T.A.R.T. make its money?
We receive money from partnerships and a percentage from fundraisers generated by community groups
- Is S.T.A.R.T. just a Utah thing?
Yes - For this first year we are focusing on Utah as a pilot program. It is our belief that S.T.A.R.T. is something that will have a national audience and broader awareness the following years and expand with a coalition directed at furthering the message.
- Aren't there already a lot of organizations working on Childhood Obesity?
Absolutely, there are many groups working toward this goal, but there isn't a coordinated effort that focuses or brings attention to recognize the needs and common goals of the many groups out there. We want to do that and we can do that.
- Why feature Utah Artists?
This is a local initiative focusing on Utah kids. What better way to bring an awareness to Utah than to use Utah Artists, or Friends of Utah.
- Can either my school or I participate without fundraising?
Absolutely, there are several means to participate that are listed on our Participation Page. Take a look and see which one fits best for you.
- Can my sports group use this as a fundraising event?
Yes, contact us and we will gladly set you up.
- I'm having trouble downloading music from the redemption page.
Try a couple of things - Check and see if you are using a valid redemption code (on the back of the S.T.A.R.T. card), the code is good for only one music download, not multiple downloads - Are you typing in the code correctly? If you are still having problems go to our Contact Us page, email our concern to our Website Administrator. We'll address this as quickly as we can.
